Morning Routines That Are Used By Successful People To Be Unstoppable

Morning Routines

Have ever been curious about how some individuals begin their morning routine feeling cheerful, lively, and full of energy?

You know the type—they exude energy, productivity, confidence, and passion. These individuals tackle each day as a formidable presence, seemingly unfazed by challenges. Their joy and vitality naturally attract others to them.

What sets them apart isn’t a “natural ability” or an inborn talent. They don’t have any obvious advantages over others. The key difference is that they’ve consciously chosen to be this way.

These people have decided to live life on their terms and have developed a consistent daily routine that supports this choice.

You are defined by what you consistently do every day.

Your habits shape who you are. If you find yourself perpetually unhappy, anxious, or fearful, it may be because of unconscious habits that continuously create these emotions within you. You have essentially conditioned yourself to feel this way through repeated behaviors.

Can you change? Absolutely.

Can you feel happy, confident, and passionate each day? Yes.

How? By deciding.

My Morning Routine

I want to share with you my most powerful insights yet. In this blog, I’ll walk you through my entire morning routine—what I do each day to set myself up for success.

How you start your day determines how you’ll end it.

This is my exact approach—my secret to self-confidence, happiness, and vitality. Following this morning routine makes me feel unstoppable every day. It builds a strong momentum, allowing me to start my day with energy and focus, leading to productivity and resilience against negativity.

If you invest time in cultivating these same habits, you’ll reap similar benefits.

The essence of developing a Morning Routine is to prioritize yourself with your most precious resource—time. It highlights your importance in your own life, ensuring you perform at your best.

Consider this: if you truly love someone, how do you express that love?

The simplest answer is by spending time with them. Now ask yourself, how much quality time do you spend with yourself—time devoted to personal growth and self-care?

Moreover, how often do you uplift yourself with positive affirmations and celebrations, just as you would with someone you love?

Many of us often criticize ourselves—something that would harm any relationship if done towards others.

Isn’t it sensible to nurture the most crucial relationship of all, the one with yourself? This Morning Routine, or what some call an “Hour of Power,” enables that.

If you’re ready to elevate your life, establish an empowering Morning Routine and commit to it daily. Make it a non-negotiable part of your life, even if it means waking up earlier. No excuses—your life will transform if you genuinely commit.

Here’s the breakdown of my Morning Routine:

1. Smile

As as you open your eyes, this is the most crucial step to take in your morning routine.

Firstly, it serves as a reminder to feel HAPPY and GRATEFUL for being alive—an expression of gratitude. Secondly, it activates your physiology, altering your state of mind. Smiling engages more than 50 facial muscles, instantly lifting your mood.

2. Stretch

After, stretch and loosen your body while still in bed. It’s important to ensure your muscles are AWAKE and ready for the start of an amazing day. This helps you shake off the sleepiness and get your blood circulating throughout your body.

3. Breathe

Your body craves oxygen first thing in the morning, as every cell relies on it. During sleep, breathing often becomes shallow, so taking deep breaths from your diaphragm upon waking helps oxygenate your cells and eliminate accumulated waste.

In addition, your brain requires oxygen, and by increasing the oxygen in your red blood cells, you enhance its supply to your brain. This makes you feel more alert and energetic right away.

I typically begin my day with a specific breathing pattern: inhaling for 5 seconds, holding my breath for 20 seconds, and exhaling for 10 seconds. Alternatively, I might get out of bed for a walk, practicing a technique called Breathwalking.

4. Drink Water

Most us wake up in a state of dehydration. Besides oxygen, your cells also need water. Since 70% of your body is composed of water, it’s essential to hydrate thoroughly to start your morning routine at your best.

I opt for Kangen Water, which is filtered, ionized, and alkaline. Although a Kangen Water ionizer is a pricey investment, it’s beneficial for long-term health. At a minimum, ensure you’re drinking filtered and purified water. Occasionally, I’ll enhance it with some lemon for additional alkalinity or mix in Greens powder to create a Green Drink.

Don’t just sip water—drink 1-2 glasses to truly meet your body’s needs for your morning routine.

5. Move Your Body

The way to alter your state of mind is through physical movement. Changing how you move can instantly influence how you feel, as emotion stems from motion—E-MOTION can be seen as “Energy in Motion.”

How you engage your body can biochemically alter your emotions.

Therefore, it’s vital to use your physiology right away. I often use a Rebounder, a mini-trampoline, which is also called a Lymphasizer. It activates your lymphatic system, helping to remove waste. Additionally, it stimulates and massages every cell in your body, kick-starting your metabolism and boosting your energy. There are many other benefits to rebounding, which I’ll explore in a future post.

Any physical activity will work. In the summer, I might head outside for a walk by the water or do jumping jacks, sit-ups, or use a treadmill. Choose any form of movement you enjoy, but the essential thing is to GET MOVING during your morning routine!

6. Engage Your Emotions

Another way to shift your state is by adjusting your FOCUS. This helps you begin the day feeling exceptional by infusing your body with positive emotions.

You feel what you focus on.

It’s important to control your focus right from the start of the day, directing it toward the emotions you want to experience. I achieve this by asking myself a series of Empowering Questions that shift my focus and, consequently, my state.

Here are the questions I ask myself daily:

  • What brings me happiness in my life right now?
  • What am I excited about currently?
  • What accomplishments am I proud of?
  • What am I grateful for?
  • What am I passionate about at this moment?
  • What commitments do I have in my life?
  • Who do I care for, and who cares for me?

Ensure that you genuinely FEEL these emotions rather than just answering them intellectually. I deepen this experience by asking myself follow-up questions like, “What about this brings me joy?” and “How does this make me feel?”

I prefer to vocalize this process rather than just thinking it. Speaking it out loud and using my body helps engage my state more fully and intensifies the feelings.

These Empowering Questions are inspired by Tony Robbins’ book “Awaken the Giant Within,” which I highly recommend.

7. Your Driving Force: Vision & Purpose

Each morning, I ensure I revisit my VISION and PURPOSE, as this energizes and motivates me. It serves as a reminder of my true calling and what I ultimately want my life to represent. Taking time to read your vision or life goals during your morning routine will help you start moving toward them.

Where focus goes, energy flows.

I keep my Ultimate Vision documented in my Life Planner, on my iPhone, and in a spreadsheet on my computer. This vision outlines what I want my life to embody—my ultimate aspirations and the person I wish to become.

Your Ultimate Purpose explains the reasons behind your goals—why you are dedicated to living this way and making your vision a reality. This purpose fuels your motivation and progress.

Additionally, I review my Identity (who I aim to be), my Code of Conduct (the standards I set for myself), as well as my Values and Rules for living. While this might seem complex, I will share more about it in a future blog post. This framework is derived from Tony Robbins’ Time Of Your Life program and his RPM Life Management System, which I use to structure my life.

The important thing is to consistently focus on your goals and the person you aspire to be each day. Concentrate on what you desire, and you’ll naturally gravitate toward it. This could simply involve taking a few moments to visualize achieving a goal or reflecting on your vision board daily.

8. Feed Your Mind

I am constantly learning, whether it involves reading a book, listening to an audio program, or watching a video series. It’s crucial to fill your mind with POSITIVITY instead of consuming negative news. Dedicating time during your morning routine to do this practice can significantly enhance your mindset and foster personal growth.

I make it a point to read at least 10 pages of a good book each day. This small commitment has allowed me to read hundreds of books, with many more waiting on my shelf. I choose books that resonate with my current life stage, whether they focus on self-help, spirituality, health and fitness, finance, business, or biographies—anything that can enrich my life.

To put it in perspective, reading 10 pages daily adds up to 300 pages a month, equivalent to one book per month, or 12 books in a year! Just imagine how much you could grow and the improvements you could experience in your life by establishing this simple daily habit.

9. Plan The Day

To your productivity throughout the day, having a plan is essential. As I mentioned earlier, I utilize my RPM Life Planner from Tony Robbins, but it’s important to find a system that works best for you.

Creating a daily plan allows you to be PROACTIVE rather than REACTIVE, enabling you to take charge of your day rather than simply responding to others’ demands. This approach allows you to intentionally design your day while making progress toward your goals and aspirations.

Talking about something turns it into a dream. Envisioning it makes it thrilling. Planning it makes it possible. But once you schedule it, it becomes a reality. — Tony Robbins

I typically outline everything I want to achieve that day and break these tasks into specific outcomes. For instance, I might outline goals for my physical health, my businesses, my relationships, or my social life. I strive to make each outcome compelling and note the reasons behind my desire to achieve it. Then, I categorize my list of “action items” under each outcome and prioritize them accordingly. The most crucial tasks get scheduled in my calendar at specific times, so I have a clear understanding of what I need to focus on and when.

I’ll definitely share the details of my planning method in a future blog post.

10. Accountability Call

Every, I have an “Accountability Call” with a friend, a practice we’ve maintained for over a year. Having an accountability partner has significantly boosted my productivity and progress. Since I manage a home-based business without a boss, having someone to hold me accountable is incredibly valuable.

Our calls typically last about 5-10 minutes.

The format is straightforward:

  1. Did you accomplish what you committed to yesterday? How was your day?
  2. What did you learn yesterday?
  3. What are the top three outcomes and top three actions you are dedicated to achieving today?

It’s that simple. We aim to ensure we’re making daily improvements and advancing in our lives.

We also keep it focused—rather than discussing everything on our to-do lists, we identify the top three highest-impact outcomes/actions, adhering to the 80/20 rule, which states that 20% of our actions yield 80% of the results.

Additionally, if either of us fails to complete something we committed to, we owe $20 to a charity. This consequence adds an extra layer of accountability and motivation. Over the year, we’ve contributed a significant amount to various charities, which feels good knowing we’re supporting a worthwhile cause while keeping ourselves accountable. 🙂

11. Workout/Exercise

The most important component of my Morning Routine is dedicating time to exercise and going to the gym daily. For me, if I don’t work out early in the day, it often doesn’t happen; my schedule fills with work and various obligations, leaving little time for my physical health. That’s why it’s crucial for me to prioritize exercise before I begin my work.

After completing an intense workout, I feel completely unstoppable. It provides an invigorating “high” and sets a successful tone for my day.

I typically spend 60 to 90 minutes at the gym each day, which is driven by my passion for fitness. However, it’s important for each person to find the workout routine or type of exercise that suits them. This could involve activities like walking, jogging, weight lifting, swimming, or even yoga. Ultimately, making the effort to strengthen and enhance your physical health is vital for a balanced, fulfilling, and healthy life.

Develop Your Own Morning Routine and Commit to It

Now it’s your turn to create an empowering routine tailored to you and commit to it without fail. A 30-day Challenge might help solidify this practice.

Consistent practice will undoubtedly transform your life. There is little more important than dedicating time to yourself each day.

Recognize that you already have a morning routine, whether you’re conscious of it or not. Consider if those actions benefit you and align with who you want to be.

If not, this might be the catalyst for change you need.

I hope this detailed narrative inspires you. I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences, so please leave a comment below.

    Have a fantastic day!
