One of the most recent books I’ve read is Champions Body For Life by Art Carey, which serves as a sequel to Bill Phillips’ well-known Body For Life Challenge.

Champions Body For Life tells the inspiring stories of two Body For Life Challengers, Alexa Adair and Mark Unger, both of whom emerged victorious in the challenge. The book chronicles their 90-day journey of body transformation, showcasing their experiences, challenges, and triumphs.

Throughout the book, readers witness the myriad obstacles, doubts, fears, and achievements Alexa and Mark encounter during this transformative period. It details their dietary choices, workout regimens, and the mindset essential for a successful transformation.

I chose to read this book because I’m always on the lookout for that extra push to elevate my performance. I firmly believe that mental fortitude is crucial in achieving goals. What better way to learn about body transformation than by modeling the journeys of those who have succeeded?

I connected deeply with the experiences Alexa and Mark shared throughout their physical changes, especially the boost in self-esteem and confidence that came from their transformations. In my view, the confidence and pride gained far surpass any superficial appeal, like “sexy abs.”

A key point in Champions Body For Life is that the first step toward body transformation is making a definitive DECISION to commit to the change. The authors refer to this pivotal moment as “The Decisive Moment.”

For many, this moment comes after hitting ROCK BOTTOM—when you’ve reached your limit and are ready to do whatever it takes. Without that strong commitment, it’s all too easy to revert to old habits.

In the book, Alexa and Mark reveal their own “Decisive Moment” and the threshold they crossed. Once they made their decision, the transformation process became manageable; the toughest part was the initial commitment.

Each week, the book features journal entries that detail the challengers’ experiences. You feel as if you’re on the journey with them, especially if you’re simultaneously working on your own body transformation.

Champions Body For Life has provided me with ample inspiration and motivation to elevate my physical fitness. The book also includes numerous Before and After photos of other Body For Life champions. Each contains brief stories about how their lives have changed.

Moreover, the book delves into various aspects of the transformation process. These include nutrition, workout routines, exercise techniques, and a weekly tracking system to help ensure progress. It equips you with everything you need to make your physical transformation a reality.
